This book will immerse you into the battlefields of the civil war, the various sites of Washington DC (including the White House) and the halls and backstages of Ford’s Theatre. It will leave you practically speed reading just to find out what happens next.
There were times in this book when I felt I was there in the moment. Perhaps that’s why I felt so invested. At times I felt heavy and sad as I was reading. Even though we all know the end to this story, the details, and the build-up are absolutely captivating.

A kind man, but fearless leader
Abraham Lincoln was one of a kind. He is a hero to many, myself included. My wife and I often talk about who we want to meet in heaven someday. Obviously, God the Creator and Christ the Savior are # 1, but after that Abraham Lincoln is at the top of my list.
Imagine sitting down with him over coffee. We would talk about the 1860s and what life was like in his White House. He would tell me about his childhood, his hobbies, his family and obviously his presidency.
This book will leave you a lover of history. You are going to want to learn more about this great nation we call America. There is so much to learn. Our history certainly doesn’t end at Lincoln, but this is one story that every American should know. And I haven’t seen or heard of anyone putting together a better overall account than this book – Killing Lincoln!
