There are so many wonderful artists out there. For that reason, we haven’t even mentioned one of my all-time favorites yet – The Doors! This group’s career together was cut short because of the tragic young death of lead singer Jim Morrison. What a shame. I often wonder what could have been if he had taken better care of himself.
Formed in the summer of 1965 in Los Angeles, CA The Doors produced a unique sound like no one ever before. When you hear them come on the radio you definitely know it’s them. Led by the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s vocals and stage presence, The Doors are known as one of the greatest Rock Bands in history. That is an unbelievable accomplishment considering the four of them were only together for six years. The Doors were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993.

Bob Marley anyone? There is at least one song of his that touches anyone no matter who you are. His music is catchy and sure knows how to hit the soul.
One of my favorite moments ever was in 1998. Some of my best friends and I were on vacation in Mexico. One day we decided to go out deep sea fishing for an afternoon. Once we got to our desired spot the captain turned off the engine and let the boat drift. It was a very hot sunny day and we decided to crack open some Cervezas. At that very moment, Buffalo Soldier came on the radio as we were drifting soaking up the sun somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.
I don’t think there could have been a more perfect song to come on the radio at that time. The best part was that it was spontaneous. None of us put in a CD or qued it up on our playlist. It just naturally came on the radio like it was meant to be played for us in that very moment. Certainly, that was a moment I will never forget.
