So over the last couple of years, I have been trying to make healthier choices. As a result, I have been trying to sneak in wheat wherever I can. Such as ordering my 6″ or 12″ at Subway on wheat bread instead of white. In addition, I try to buy wheat bread and wheat pasta when grocery shopping. After doing a little research and reading about Fat Burning Kitchen, I am thinking that maybe I am not on the right track after all.
Burn Fat Fast with the proper nutrition
One of the many benefits of reading this book is educating us on all of the things we thought were good for us but maybe aren’t. I for one am not going to fully give up eating wheat but I am definitely going to be a little more selective when making decisions at restaurants and the grocery store.
This is going to be a hard one for me because I love my bread, muffins, sandwiches, etc. Mmmm…. blueberry muffins, actually have you ever tried pistachio muffins? They are so incredibly good. Give me a pistachio muffin with a good cup of coffee and I will be set for a while.
Okay, sorry I got a little off track there. As I said I am not going to cut wheat out of my diet entirely, but this has definitely got me thinking that I need to cut back on the carbs if I want to burn fat.
Wheat… what’s the deal?
Here you will get an education on proper nutrition which is crucial to burning fat. As the old saying goes, “you can’t outrun your diet”. Also, you will learn how wheat has changed over the years and not for the good. The majority of wheat harvested today is not the wheat of our grandparents.
Over the years, wheat has been genetically altered in order to meet demand. Sadly it was never tested to see if it was healthy to consume and it has even been referred to as Franken-wheat. Not sure how this was allowed to happen, but if this is all true it is an absolute outrage. Certainly, this writer has cut back on his wheat intake.
So what do we eat now?
Do not worry, there are many options for you to still eat healthy and delicious food. If you are going to drastically reduce your wheat and carb intake, I will leave you with some of the things I eat and drink when I am trying to be healthy and burn fat. Combine my ideas with your own and turn your kitchen into a Fat Burning Kitchen!
Alright, I realize I am not exactly Bobby Flay here, but I am just trying to give you a few ideas below to help you get on the right track to a healthy diet.
Foods – Eggs, Avocados, Grilled Chicken lettuce wraps, Oatmeal, etc. Try to watch your condiments, such as ketchup and BBQ sauce which contain sugars.
Drinks – Coffee (black, no cream or sugar), red wine, milk, water. And if you are a coffee drinker you have to check out this DIET COFFEE! It is a weight loss coffee formula that reduces cravings and melts away fat! This is a great way to supplement your new carb conscience diet!
Add a little excitement to your water!
At our house, we love to infuse our water with fresh fruit or vegetables. It doesn’t take too much effort. All you need to do is add some of your favorite fruits or vegetables to a pitcher of ice water. The longer everything steeps together the more flavor you are going to get. We like to do this with cucumbers, strawberries, mint, watermelon, etc. There are so many possibilities here, as long as you’re not adding sugar you are going to have delicious water that would make The Fat Burning Kitchen proud!
If you don’t feel like cutting up a bunch of produce (which is often the case with me) just squeeze in a fresh lemon or lime wedge to your glass of ice water. Lemon and lime juice also will boost your water with a little vitamin C which is especially helpful during cold and flu season.
On those cold days boil some water in the teapot or microwave. Pour it over some fresh cut ginger. Add a little honey, mint and a slice of fresh lemon and you have a healthy and delicious cup of tea. All of these ingredients are great for you and have many positive health benefits.
Add a Little Bubbly!
If you like a little bubbly to your water here is another idea for you. This is basically the same drink as above with just a little variation. Pour Seltzer water over a glass of ice. Add fresh cut ginger, a few mint leaves and a lemon or lime wedge. I always like to squeeze most of the juice out of my wedge before I drop it in the glass. If you are not familiar with seltzer water, it is just carbonated water and I like it because it contains no calories, sugars or carbs. You can find it at any grocery store in the aisle where they keep all of the other water.
I hope you enjoyed reading this article and I know you are going to LOVE The Fat Burning Kitchen!
